a whisper or sigh~
~~~
petals shield tender face from glare.
like a wallflower at a teen dance,
not ready to join in, not ready to dare,
too timid to take a chance.
~~~
all the other flowers in the meadow
bask in the life giving sun,
throwing petal arms back in blissful abandon,
joining in the kaleidoscope fun.
~~~
maybe tomorrow, a whisper or sigh?,
to nobody in particular it seems.
the meadow sleeps peaceful under silvery sky;
the moon smiling down on honeysweet dreams.
~~~
and, I do not think I hit any of the prompts *looking a bit sheepish*

This is beautiful. I get to the end and find myself going back to the top to read it again.

Thank you so much π This means so much because I have struggled with my muse for several years. π
